There are many different buzz words that explain this phenomenon: flexitarian, semi-vegetarian, and week day vegetarian; where you only eat meat on the week-ends. But anyway you want to say it, you are cutting back on the meat you eat. Some do it for health reasons, animal rights, the environment or all of the above!

Spanish Rice


2 cups rice
1 onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 15 ounce can diced tomatoes, including liquid
1 3/4 cups water or vegetable broth
1 16 ounce can tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chili seasoning
1 tsp onion powder

Add to crock pot. Cook for 6 to 8 hours on low.

  1. I have been thinking of turning into a vegetarian. I am eating less meat now but never a full day vegetarian before. I wanted to learn more vegetarian recipes before I go full time. Hahahah excuses that I gave myself to delay it. Have a nice day to you.
