There are many different buzz words that explain this phenomenon: flexitarian, semi-vegetarian, and week day vegetarian; where you only eat meat on the week-ends. But anyway you want to say it, you are cutting back on the meat you eat. Some do it for health reasons, animal rights, the environment or all of the above!

Sweet & Spicy (veggie) burger seasoning
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper

A marinade I printed from a pin from Pinterest plus what was in my cupboard and things I read in comments. Some said too spicy and really not a big fan of the too spicy type of food. Thought the marinade was too sweet...

BBQ rub
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard
I like adding this to beans and the flour mix for oven frying just to give it a little flavor. You could use for grocery style fresh roasted chicken..... but then most of the time we buy them in a hurry and really don't plan on baking a whole bird.... (they are cheaper too... try buying a whole bird for 5 dollars...

Italian seasoning
It is Thursday already? 8 Muddy Boots Mister Linkys from scratch time!
What did I make from scratch this week....
Honey wheat bread, chicken and noddles (add your own meat for the meat eaters in the house) made with a great product called Better than Bouillon and my homemade stock from the freezer, and devil eggs.....
But my daughter made cheese lasagna for her grandfathers birthday Saturday. With meat sauce for the meat eaters....
So we ran low on the Italian seasoning that she used for the sauce... I made this to replace:
Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tbsp. dried oregano leaves
1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tbsp. dried marjoram
1/4 tbsp. dried basil
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
Mix all ingredients well. Store in old spice jar. Label.

Jerk Seasoning
Ingredients
* 2 tablespoons onion powder
* 1 tablespoons sugar
* 1 tablespoon salt
* 1 tablespoon ground thyme
* 1 tablespoon ginger
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground all-spice
* 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
* 3/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
Mix together place in jar. Can be used as a rub or just to add some favor to your dishes.
The girls don't like anything too spicy so I just use it to spice up some things. Tech on the other hand likes it (he says it ok... but he isn't picky!) and adds extra on top! Most of my guys friends (Tech too!) like things burn your mouth make you shoot fire when you exhale HOT said this wasn't very hot. So if you like it very hot add more red pepper or add some Scotch bonnet or habanero peppers, crushed. When using on meat or to spice up veggies.
